Kaushik Ganguly's Aajo Ardhangini has wrapped up its first week at the Indian box office on a steady note. On its 7th day of release (Thursday), the Bengali family drama collected an estimated ₹0.16 crore net in India, bringing its opening week total to approximately ₹1.49 crore.
The day-wise breakdown shows a strong opening weekend performance followed by expected weekday declines. After a slow start of ₹0.13 crore on Day 1, the film witnessed impressive growth over its first weekend: ₹0.26 crore on Day 2 and ₹0.44 crore on Day 3. The film's weekday collections have remained consistent, with Day 4 at ₹0.15 crore, Day 5 at ₹0.18 crore, Day 6 at ₹0.17 crore, and Day 7 at ₹0.16 crore.
Directed by Kaushik Ganguly, who also penned the story and screenplay, the film features a talented ensemble cast including Jaya Ahsan as Meghna Mustafi, Churni Ganguly as Shubhra, Koushik Sen as Suman Chatterjee, along with Ambarish Bhattacharya, Lily Chakraborty, and Indrasish Roy. The film was produced by Nispal Singh under the Surinder Films banner, with music composed by Anupam Roy.
Following the success of its predecessor Ardhangini (2023), the sequel has received positive word-of-mouth for both its story and performances. The film's opening weekend numbers reflect audience interest in continuing the emotional journey of the three central characters, who were brought back together by an unexpected wedding invitation and an unfolding personal crisis.
With its theatrical run continuing, Aajo Ardhangini now looks ahead to its second week, where its ability to maintain screen presence will depend on sustaining audience interest against other releases.
