Baby Do Die Do Box Office Day 14: Huma Qureshi's Thriller Crashes With 62% Second Week Drop
Baby Do Die Do collected just ₹11 lakh on day 14, wrapping its second week with ₹1.29 crore net. The film has now earned ₹4.72 crore in India, facing a 62% drop from its opening week and recovering only 18.88% of its ₹25 crore budget.

Nachiket Samant's crime thriller Baby Do Die Do has crashed at the Indian box office in its second week. Starring Huma Qureshi in the lead role, the film collected just ₹11 lakh net on its 14th day of release (Thursday, July 16), wrapping up the second week with a total of ₹1.29 crore.

The film's cumulative India net collection now stands at ₹4.72 crore, a disappointing figure for a film made on a reported budget of ₹25 crore. With the theatrical run nearing its end, the film has managed to recover only about 18.88% of its investment, facing a deficit of over ₹20 crore.

Sharp Decline in Second Week

Baby Do Die Do saw a 62% drop in its second week compared to the first, which had collected ₹3.43 crore. The film, which also features Sikandar Kher, Chunky Pandey, Seema Pahwa, and Rachit Singh in key roles, struggled to attract footfalls despite a buy-one-get-one-free offer. The circuit-wise breakdown shows it performed best in the Bombay circuit with ₹45.11 lakh in its second week, followed by Delhi-U.P. with ₹29.47 lakh and the South circuit with ₹15.43 lakh.

Critical Reception and Commercial Struggle

Despite receiving positive reviews for Huma Qureshi's performance as Baby, a deaf and mute contract killer in Mumbai, the film has failed to convert critical acclaim into commercial success. The film's narrative has been praised for its visual style and Qureshi's restrained performance, but the release of other commercial entertainers like Welcome To The Jungle and Dhamaal 4 significantly impacted its screen count and box office performance.

Directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Saqib Saleem under his banner Saleem Siblings in association with Pune 04 Films, the film also features a screenplay written by Jasmeet K Reen, Nachiket Samant, and Parveez Shaikh, with cinematography by the team and music by Arjun Iyer. The film's modest total after 14 days highlights the challenges of mid-budget films in a crowded market, serving as a reminder that even positive word-of-mouth isn't always enough to ensure commercial viability.
