Huma Qureshi and Sikandar Kher's crime thriller 'Baby Do Die Do' continues to face an uphill battle at the domestic box office as it enters its fourth week. On its nineteenth day of release (Day 19, Tuesday), the film collected an estimated net total of approximately ₹0.25 crore in India, showing minimal growth and failing to gain any momentum.
With this consistent but underwhelming performance, 'Baby Do Die Do' has pushed its total India net collection to approximately ₹4.11 crore, while the worldwide gross collection stands at approximately ₹4.04 crore. The film's disappointing run has confirmed that the Huma Qureshi starrer will finish its theatrical run below the ₹4.5 crore mark in India, making it one of the most significant box office disappointments of the year.
A Disastrous Theatrical Run
Directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Saqib Saleem under the Saleem Siblings banner in association with Pune-04 Picture, 'Baby Do Die Do' was expected to showcase Huma Qureshi in a powerful role. The film features an ensemble cast including Huma Qureshi as Baby KarMarKar, alongside Sikandar Kher as Zafar, Chunky Pandey, Seema Pahwa as Senior Officer Anjum Khan, Rachit Singh as Siddhu, Vidya Malvade as Manju Murjhani, Himanshu Malik as Mukesh Murjhani, Marudhar Shekhawat as Manu, and Arun Kushwah. The screenplay is penned by Nachiket Samant and Gaurav Sharma, with the story written by Parveez Shaikh and Jasmeet K Reen. The technical team includes cinematographer Tojo Xavier, editors Nikhil Parihar and Ashish Tripathi, music composed by Arjun Iyer, and production designer Tariq Umar Khan.
The film's day-wise trajectory has been dismal from the start. After a weak opening day of ₹0.40 crore, the film showed limited growth with ₹0.58 crore on Day 2 and ₹0.83 crore on Day 3. The first Monday witnessed a sharp drop to ₹0.41 crore, followed by ₹0.36 crore on Day 5. Despite a brief recovery to ₹0.50 crore on Day 6, the film's total first week net collection stood at approximately ₹3.43 crore. The film's performance in subsequent weeks has been equally disappointing, with the film struggling to add any significant figures to its total.
Failed to Capitalize on Positive Word of Mouth
Produced on a reported budget of ₹25 crore, the film has recovered only approximately 16.44% of its budget, making it one of the biggest disasters of the year. The film's storyline, which follows Baby, a deaf-mute hitwoman in Mumbai's underworld who carries out contract killings using a concealed gun hidden inside an umbrella, failed to connect with audiences despite positive critical reviews for Huma Qureshi's performance.
The film's performance was particularly affected by its clash with major releases like 'Alpha' and 'Welcome to the Jungle', which occupied the majority of screens, leaving 'Baby Do Die Do' with limited showcasing across India. With the film currently ranking as one of the lowest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026, it will conclude its theatrical run as a major disappointment for the entire cast and crew. The coming days will see the film exit theaters, with its lifetime collection expected to remain below the ₹4.5 crore mark in India.
