Baby Do Die Do Box Office Collection Day 9: Huma Qureshi's Film Recovers Only 13% of Budget, Lifetime Under Rs 5 Crore
Huma Qureshi's crime thriller 'Baby Do Die Do' continues its disappointing run at the box office, collecting Rs 0.22 crore on Day 9. After a week, the film has recovered only 13.72% of its reported Rs 25 crore budget and is heading towards a lifetime total under Rs 5 crore.

Huma Qureshi's crime thriller Baby Do Die Do continues to struggle at the box office in its second week. The film collected a meager Rs 0.22 crore net on Day 9, showing a significant drop from its Day 6 collection of Rs 0.50 crore.

Directed by Nachiket Samant, who previously directed Single Salma, the film's journey has been nothing short of a disaster at the box office. After a slow opening of Rs 0.40 crore on its first Friday, the film showed limited growth over its opening weekend, with collections of Rs 0.58 crore and Rs 0.83 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. However, the momentum was short-lived, and the film has been on a steady decline ever since.

After 9 days, the film's total India net collection stands at approximately Rs 4.09 crore, with India gross collections reaching Rs 4.82 crore. With a reported production budget of Rs 25 crore, the film has only managed to recover approximately 13.72% of its costs, making it one of the most underperforming releases of 2026. The film was released on approximately 400 screens across India, facing stiff competition from big-budget releases.

Baby Do Die Do features Huma Qureshi in the lead role as Baby Karmarkar, a deaf and mute hitwoman who operates in Mumbai's underworld. The film also features a talented ensemble cast including Sikander Kher, Chunky Pandey, Seema Pahwa, Rachit Singh, Vidya Malvade, Himanshu Malik, Marudhar Shekhawat, and Arun Kushwah.

The technical team includes cinematographer Tojo Xavier, music composer Arjun Iyer, editors Nikhil Parigar and Ashish Tripathi, and production designer Tariq Umar Khan. The original story was penned by Parveez Shaikh and Jasmeet K Reen, while Nachiket Samant and Gaurav Sharma co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues.

The film was produced by Saqib Saleem under his banner Saleem Siblings in association with Pune-04 Picture. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, with many praising Huma Qureshi's restrained performance and the film's noir-infused atmosphere, Baby Do Die Do has failed to attract audiences to theatres.

With collections now dropping to the vicinity of Rs 10-13 lakh per day, the film's theatrical run appears to be nearing its end. Trade analysts project a lifetime collection of under Rs 5 crore, resulting in losses exceeding Rs 20 crore for the makers.
