The Atharvaa and Fahadh Faasil starrer Idhayam Murali has witnessed a massive surge at the box office on its second day. After a steady opening on Friday, the romantic drama collected a strong Rs 3.50 crore net on Saturday, marking a healthy growth of approximately 84%.
Directed by debutant Aakash Baskaran, the coming-of-age love story saw a significant jump in occupancy, rising from 30% on its opening day to an impressive 43% on Saturday. With a total of 1,375 shows across the country, the film's performance indicates growing audience interest and positive word-of-mouth. The film's two-day India net collection now stands at a commendable Rs 5.40 crore.
The film features a talented ensemble cast including Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles, with a special appearance by Fahadh Faasil. The technical team is led by music composer Thaman S, who also appears in a key role, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, and editor Pradeep E Ragav.
The film is expected to see further growth on Sunday, with trade analysts predicting a strong first weekend total. With no major competition and positive audience response, Idhayam Murali is poised for a successful run at the Indian box office.
