Idhayam Murali Box Office Collection Day 3: Atharvaa's Romantic Drama Crosses Rs 8.50 Crore, Ends Opening Weekend On A High
The Atharvaa and Fahadh Faasil starrer 'Idhayam Murali' continued its impressive run on the first Sunday, collecting Rs 3.80 crore net. The film's total India net collection after the opening weekend now stands at Rs 8.55 crore.

The Atharvaa and Fahadh Faasil starrer Idhayam Murali has concluded its opening weekend on a remarkable high note. After a steady start and a massive jump on Saturday, the romantic drama continued its upward trajectory on Sunday, collecting an impressive Rs 3.80 crore net on its third day.

Directed by debutant Aakash Baskaran, the coming-of-age love story witnessed its best single-day performance so far on Sunday. The film's occupancy surged to a healthy 46% across 1,523 shows, reflecting strong audience engagement and positive word-of-mouth. With this, the film's total India net collection after three days stands at a commendable Rs 8.55 crore, while its India gross has reached Rs 9.83 crore.

The film's day-wise journey has been a classic example of a successful weekend run. After opening with Rs 1.90 crore on Friday, it witnessed a massive jump to Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday, followed by Sunday's peak of Rs 3.80 crore. The steady growth in occupancy from 30% to 43% and then to 46% over the weekend indicates strong audience interest and is a promising sign for the film's weekday performance.

The film features an ensemble cast including Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles, alongside Fahadh Faasil in a special appearance. The technical team is led by music composer Thaman S, who also appears in a key role, cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, and editor Pradeep E Ragav. With a production budget of Rs 25 crore, the film has already shown signs of strong recovery, having recouped over 40% of its costs within the first three days.

With positive word-of-mouth and no major competition in sight, Idhayam Murali is expected to continue its steady run through the weekdays, with trade analysts predicting a strong overall first-week performance at the Indian box office.
