Atharvaa's Idhayam Murali continued its steady theatrical run on its first Tuesday, demonstrating resilience despite the expected weekday slowdown. The romantic drama collected a net Rs 1.23 crore on Day 5 across 1,426 shows, recording an overall occupancy of 22%.
With this performance, the film's cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 11.93 crore, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 13.72 crore. The international market has also contributed significantly, with overseas gross collections of Rs 4 crore. This pushes the film's worldwide gross collection to an impressive Rs 17.72 crore after five days in theatres.
The film's day-wise journey highlights a classic weekend-warrior pattern. After opening with Rs 1.90 crore net on Friday, it witnessed robust growth to Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs 3.80 crore on Sunday. As anticipated, the weekday slowdown followed, with Monday collecting Rs 1.50 crore and Tuesday easing further to Rs 1.23 crore—a day-on-day decline of around 18%, indicating a fairly stable weekday hold.
Directed by debutant Aakash Baskaran, who also wrote and produced the film under Dawn Pictures, the coming-of-age love story has found its strongest footing in Tamil Nadu, contributing the majority to the total India gross. Karnataka has emerged as the second-best-performing territory, followed by Kerala. The film has also earned from the rest of India and Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
The film features an ensemble cast led by Atharvaa in the titular role, alongside Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan in lead roles, with Fahadh Faasil in a key appearance. The supporting cast includes Natty Subramaniam, Niharika NM, Sudhakar of Parithabangal fame, Yashashree Rao, singer Jonita Gandhi, and Anju Kurian.
