The Virat Karrna and Nabha Natesh-starrer mythological action-adventure Nagabandham continues its steady run at the Indian box office. On its 9th day, the second Saturday, the film collected an estimated Rs 87 lakh net in India. This marks a slight dip from its Day 8 collection of Rs 92 lakh but indicates stable footfalls during the second weekend.
With this Day 9 collection, the film's total India net collection has reached approximately Rs 19.53 crore, while its India gross stands at an estimated Rs 21.52 crore. The film showcased decent audience interest during the weekend period with steady occupancy levels.
Directed by Abhishek Nama, who also wrote the story and screenplay, the film is produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishitha Nagireddy under NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures. The ensemble cast includes Virat Karrna in the lead role of Rudhra, Nabha Natesh, Ishwarya Menon, Daksha Nagarkar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Murali Sharma, Jayaprakash, and BS Avinash in pivotal roles.
The film features cinematography by Soundar Rajan S, editing by Santosh Kamireddy, and music by Abhe and Junaid Kumar. Nagabandham opened with Rs 3.25 crore on its first Friday and collected Rs 17.74 crore in its first week. However, the film, which is a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, had a lackluster first week in its dubbed versions, netting only Rs 2 crore across Hindi-speaking circuits. The film's performance in its original Telugu version has been comparatively stronger.
With a reported budget of around Rs 100 crore and a costly Rs 20 crore climax sequence, Nagabandham has a long way to go to achieve profitability. However, the film's ability to hold steady during its second weekend is a positive sign. All eyes are now on its second Sunday performance to determine whether the film can sustain its momentum and improve its overall box office prospects.
