The Odyssey is proving to be a box office force to be reckoned with. Christopher Nolan's epic fantasy adventure witnessed a massive surge on its second day at the Indian box office, collecting an estimated Rs 22 crore net across 8,791 shows on Saturday.

The Day 2 collection represents a strong 26.4% jump over its opening-day nett earnings of Rs 17.40 crore, indicating exceptional word-of-mouth and audience interest. With this impressive Saturday performance, the film's total India net collection has reached Rs 39.40 crore nett, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 47.03 crore.

Nolan's Vision Captivates Indian Audiences

The film, which features a stellar ensemble cast led by Matt Damon as King Odysseus, has been drawing audiences across all demographics. Anne Hathaway plays his devoted wife Penelope, while Tom Holland portrays their son Telemachus. The cast also includes Zendaya as the goddess Athena, Robert Pattinson as the suitor Antinous, Lupita Nyong'o in a dual role as Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, Charlize Theron as Calypso, along with Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, and Mia Goth.

The United Kingdom and Ireland led the international charge with $17.4 million, followed by France with $13.7 million, and Italy recording the biggest July opening at $11.5 million. With its reported $250 million production budget, the film has already recovered its costs within three days of release.
