Alpha Box Office Collection Day 7: Spy Thriller Wraps First Week at Rs 47.55 Crore, Enters Top 10 of 2026
Yash Raj Films' 'Alpha', starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, concluded its first week with a Day 7 collection of Rs 2.60 crore. The film's domestic net total stands at Rs 47.55 crore, while its worldwide gross has crossed Rs 80 crore, securing a spot in the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026.

The YRF Spy Universe's first female-led chapter, Alpha, wrapped up its opening week with a subdued performance on its seventh day. The action thriller, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, collected an estimated Rs 2.60 crore net across India on its first Thursday, marking a continued decline from its Day 6 earnings.

This brings the film's total India net collection to Rs 47.55 crore after seven days, falling short of the Rs 50 crore milestone in its first week. Despite the weekday decline, Alpha has achieved a significant milestone on the global stage. The film's worldwide gross collection has crossed the Rs 80 crore mark, with total earnings of approximately Rs 80.38 crore gross worldwide, including Rs 23.10 crore from overseas markets.

Directed by Shiv Rawail—who is celebrated for his work on The Railway Men—and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, Alpha features a powerhouse cast. Alia Bhatt leads the charge as the fearless agent Sita, while Sharvari plays a key operative in the mission. The film also features Anil Kapoor as RAW Chief Vikrant Kaul and Bobby Deol as the formidable antagonist Fateh Singh Lakhawat. Hrithik Roshan makes a special appearance as the beloved spy Kabir Dhaliwal, creating a major buzz among fans of the spy universe. The screenplay, crafted by Soumil Shukla and Shridhar Raghavan with dialogues by Ishita Moitra, anchors the narrative, while Rubais' cinematography and the background score by Rohansh & Abeer and Sanchit Balhara lend the film its edgy visual and auditory flair.

Despite the star power and franchise connection, the film's performance has been described as underwhelming, with a sharp drop of approximately 70% from its opening weekend figures. The film faced mixed reviews from critics and audiences, which has contributed to its fading box office momentum. With the release of Dhamaal 4 on its second Friday, Alpha is expected to face stiff competition and reduced screen counts in the coming days.

On a positive note, Alpha has secured a place in the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026 in India, having surpassed films like Mardaani 3 to claim a position among the year's biggest earners with its worldwide gross of Rs 80.38 crore. Trade analysts suggest the film will need a significant turnaround in its second weekend to improve its commercial prospects, especially given its reported budget of around Rs 100 crore.
