The YRF Spy Universe's first female-led chapter, Alpha, continued its second weekend run with a notable surge in collections on Day 9. The Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer witnessed a significant jump of over 36% on its second Saturday, collecting approximately Rs 2.25 crore net across India, according to early trade estimates.
This marks a healthy growth from its Day 8 collection of Rs 1.65 crore, indicating that the film is benefiting from the weekend momentum. With this, the film's total India net collection now stands at Rs 51.35 crore after nine days, finally crossing the Rs 50 crore milestone. The film's domestic gross is estimated at Rs 61.21 crore, while its worldwide gross has reached an impressive Rs 85.51 crore.
The film recorded an overall occupancy of 22.18% on Day 9, with evening and night shows seeing a significant uptick. Night shows peaked at 31.23%, indicating sustained interest among urban audiences. In key markets, Delhi-NCR registered 19.3% occupancy across 370 shows, while Mumbai recorded 21% occupancy across 200 shows.
Directed by Shiv Rawail—who is celebrated for his work on The Railway Men—and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, Alpha features a powerhouse cast. Alia Bhatt leads the charge as the fearless agent Sita, while Sharvari plays a key operative in the mission. The film also features Anil Kapoor as RAW Chief Vikrant Kaul and Bobby Deol as the formidable antagonist Fateh Singh Lakhawat. Hrithik Roshan makes a special appearance as the beloved spy Kabir Dhaliwal, creating a major buzz among fans of the spy universe. The screenplay, crafted by Soumil Shukla and Shridhar Raghavan with dialogues by Ishita Moitra, anchors the narrative, while Rubais' cinematography and the background score by Rohansh & Abeer and Sanchit Balhara lend the film its edgy visual and auditory flair.
With Rs 51.35 crore in the kitty, Alpha is now just Rs 1.55 crore away from surpassing The Kerala Story 2 (Rs 53.3 crore) and entering the top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2026 in India. Industry analysts predict the film will achieve this feat in the coming days, though its overall performance remains underwhelming given its reported budget of around Rs 100 crore.
